Dr. Maciej Haranczyk received a PhD degree in Chemistry from University of Gdansk in Poland in 2008. During his graduate studies, he spent extended periods at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, University of Southern California and University of Sheffield. After the graduate school, he moved to Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, which had offered him a Glenn T. Seaborg Postdoctoral Fellowship. He was subsequently hired into a Research Scientist position (2010) and promoted to a Staff Scientist position (2014). In 2015, he joined IMDEA Materials Institute in Madrid, where he leads efforts in the area of computational and data-driven materials discovery.
