Prof. Carlos González graduated in Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid UPM in 1995. He got his PhD at the same institution at the Material Science Department of the Civil Engineering School in 2000. He has carried out his lecture and research activities at this Department of which he holds the position of full-professor since 2017. He currently leads the Structural Composites group at IMDEA Materials Institute, where he keeps focused on the traditional research lines on structural composites adding with emphasis on composites processing of polymeric matrix for the aerospace, automotive, sports industries, etc. These research activities have been carried out within the framework of more than 40 research projects funded by regional, national and international R&D programs and through contracts with industry.
